Coach Requirements (Drayton Minor Soccer)

PrintCoach Requirements


All Coaches in Drayton Minor Soccer are required to complete the following four items:

1) Respect In Sport - Activity Leader. The link for the online course through the Ontario Soccer Association is:

If this respect in sport certificate has been completed for another sport, please forward the certificate to us. The parent version of Respect in Sport is not valid for this requirement. The certificate is valid for 5 years.

2) Online Registration through Sportsengine using the direct link which will be emailed to you by Drayton Soccer.
This registration includes the signing the Concussion Code of Conduct. Rowan_Code_of_Conduct_Coaches

3) Complete the Coaching Soccer in Canada Module (first module of the courses found at this link)

Choose the course you need based on the age group you are coaching:

  • Active Start (U4-6)
  • FUNdamentals (U7-8)
  • Learn to Train (U9-12)
  • Soccer for Life (U13+)

You are welcome to complete the full course (both modules)

4) Police Check/Vulnerable Sector Check


NOTE: Drayton Minor Soccer will reimburse any costs involved once we receive proof of completion. Respect in Sport, $30. Coaching Soccer, $15.
