U18 #1, U18, 2012 (Drayton Minor Soccer)

Congratulations team on winning the U18 Championship game for 2012.  It was a great game indeed. The other Drayton team put up a fight and made it a challenge for us. At half time I wasn't sure who would have the victory but you pulled together and played hard and fair. We played short due to the fact that we were short the required number of girls. We made it to the finals with a pretty good record- no losses! We have an exciting game ahead of us on Monday Aug 6th at 7 pm at Kinsmen. Let's play hard and have fun. We are playing against Drayton the top 2 teams in the league this year. Even though we beat them during the season you know this will be a hard fought game. Play fair but play hard. I am looking forward to watching all the talent of Drayton's U18's put into one final game. Way to go team, let's finish the season with a win.

It looks like we are doing a round robin so the tie is the result of the game. Sorry I didn't do my homework ahead of time to know. But at least we got practice on the shoot out. I overheard some of you saying that you could have played harder. Well if that is the case then do it. We are in the playoffs and there will only be one winner at the end. we need to win our pool to play the final game. Unfortunately our tie tonight means we may need lots of goals in next weeks game to stay in. Come next Monday prepared to play hard and win. We are playing Elma at the Kinsmen field.
